OVVO
Since 2011, OVVO Optics have been producing glasses of the highest quality to people worldwide. According to OVVO, their frames are “virtually indestructible” with surprising durability and flexibility all without the use of any screws in the hinges. Originally developed as a top-secret material for European spacecrafts, OVVO’s combination of military-grade surgical steel and titanium is unlike any other. The average OVVO frame weighs 0.65 ounces, yet packs a punch with catchy colors and fun geometric lens shapes.

State
A set of cousins with an American-made eyewear company in California partnered with another eyewear-making duo in Illinois to create the State Optical Company in 2014. Proud of their hometown roots, the STATE logo is an iconic pyramid composed of 21 dots, which represent Illinois as the 21st state in America. There are about 75 steps in the manufacturing process of each frame and about half of those steps are carefully completed by hand. In 2019, State Optical acquired the oldest American optical – not a coincidence that it is named American Optical. Originating in 1833, AO is a classic brand sported most popularly by John F. Kennedy.

Randolph Engineering
Only four percent of sunglasses sold are manufactured in the United States. Weber Vision Care is pleased to carry a line of sunwear made in America. Founded in Massachusetts in 1972 as an optical machinery factory, RANDOLPH ENGINEERING began making sunglasses six years later at its facility in Randolph, MA. All RANDOLPH ENGINEERING glasses are made by skilled American workers, some of whom have been employed by Randolph for 25 years, who complete each step of the manufacturing process. A machine in the factory in Massachusetts begins the process by bending imported wire into eyeglass frames to fit individual lenses. It can make up to 2,000 frames a day.
